SILK (silk)
The non-absorbable silk braided suture is generally used for the approximation and suturing of soft tissues, except tissues of the cardiovascular and central nervous system.
The use of SILK non-absorbable surgical sutures initially causes a slight inflammatory reaction similar to the reaction to a foreign body, and then a connective tissue capsule forms around the suture. Despite the fact that the silk sutures are not absorbed, hydrolysis takes place in vivo, resulting in a reduction in endurance.
POLYESTER
Non-absorbent surgical suture POLYESTER is used for suturing and strengthening of soft tissues, including cardiovascular,
neurological and ophthalmological interventions. The application of the non-absorbent surgical suture POLYESTER initially leads to an inflammatory reaction of the tissue, which is equivalent to a foreign body reaction, followed gradually by the formation of a connective tissue capsule around the suture. The POLYESTER sutures are not absorbed and do not show any loss of endurance due to in vivo hydrolysis.
PTFE sutures PROFIMED
The PROFIMED surgical suture material is a sterile, monofilament, non-absorbable surgical suture material made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) polymers.
The PROFIMED surgical suture material is intended for fastening or closing soft tissues, including use in cardiosurgical and dental interventions. Its use is not indicated for ophthalmological interventions, as well as in microsurgery and on peripheral nervous tissue. After its implantation, the surgical suture material PROFIMED causes a very slight local inflammation of the tissue, which corresponds to a reaction to foreign bodies and is followed by a corresponding local formation of fibrous connective tissue.
PROPYLENE
The non-absorbable surgical suture is mainly used for contact strengthening or suturing of soft tissues and for ophthalmological interventions, cardiovascular and neurological_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136badencf5836d_badencf58d.
The material is particularly compatible with the tissue. The PROPYLENE suture initially elicits a minor inflammatory response from the tissue, followed by encapsulation of connective tissue around the area. The suture is not absorbed by the tissue, it does not degrade and does not lose tensile strength due to the proteolytic enzymes. Due to the fact that it reacts almost passively with the tissue, its use is particularly recommended in cases where the lowest possible reaction is desired. The suture is used for infected wounds or wounds at risk of infection. The PROPYLEN suture does not stick to the tissue and can therefore be removed easily and painlessly.
The suture is usually removed within a month.
POLYAMIDE
Monoclonal non-absorbent polyamide suture is commonly used for approximation, suturing and fixation of soft tissues, but its application is not indicated for tissues
the central cardiovascular system and the CNS. The non-adhesiveness of the POLYAMIDE suture to the fabric allows
their easy and painless removal. The suture is usually removed within a month.
SURGICAL STEEL
The suture initially causes a slight inflammatory response in the tissue and is not absorbed. Surgical Steel surgical suture is used to suture Injuries_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-8d5cf5cf
of the hypogastrium, for rehabilitation of hernias, thoracic sutures and orthopedic procedures including cerclage and tendon repair.
